My Mother was My God
Mother Vs God Reminds My Life History. It is never forgotten in my life, made a famous proverb is "My mother was My God" I humbly regard my mother since I opened my eyes to the Earth, She was the greatest blessing that God has given to me."
Infancy Age:
Firstly I am going to remind my life when I opened my eyes on the earth on 26 May 1960. After 18 months my father died. I made an orphan because my mother was illiterate, and she did not know how to survive her life with me that’s why lived with her parents' support and helped the family business by serving others' own work for surviving me and herself.
Childhood Age:
Similarly, Mother Vs God Reminds My Life History. My mother admitted me to study in a local primary school in Brahampuri, Siraha. There was no establishing a child-friendly learning environment. Due to lacking money and well guardianship I had to study by seventh grade anyhow. Then she admitted me to high school Sukhipur, Siraha in grade eight. But in ninth grade, I dropped out and came back home and was involved in agriculture work.
During that period my favorite Teacher Mr. Shatrudhan Prasad Sah called me and asked why you are not coming to school. I said my mother told me, you are single who give money to study your work on land and earn money for lifesaving that supports me too. A teacher suggested that you are a talented student so you complete at least the SLC board examination and then do as your mother likes. I said ok and continued my study by 10th grade. I passed the SLC board exam in the 2nd division in 1980.
When I passed the SLC board exam, all my friends failed that year. Elder and intellectual people suggest to me I need to admit to further Study College because nobody passed this year you are a good student, it has encouraged me to study.
Adolescent Age:
But the family had no income source for recovering study expenses. My mother thought and encouraged me to further study I wanted to make a Doctor but she couldn’t agree to this. Then I was admitted to SSMY Siraha College for making a teacher in English and healthy subjects for 2 years course in 1981. During this period I faced a lot of problems for a successful learning environment due to the lack of economic condition of the family.
Adulthood Age:
On the other hand, Mother Vs God Reminds My Life History. Even though my mother married me to an illiterate girl. I had to face an extra load. It affected my study I dropped out within one year of college and came back again. Some people asked me why I returned back home I said many problems occurred with the payment of college charges and other expenses.
They said no it is not a good thing for your life in the future. I thought and share my mother and relatives. All suggested me and said to my mother too. Then again join the college. And request to the chief of the college. He supports me and got a free 25% of the college fee. I had completed my course and appeared in the final Exam of the Intermediate of Education certificate level in 1984.
Capable of surviving family:
I applied to find a job as a primary-level teacher in the Saptary district of Nepal and got a permanent government job. Then became a little bit of support to my family. My mother was so happy when received the money and gave her. I lived with my wife I had an elder girl born in 1987.
I was involved in the social service of BIDC in 1991 and supported part there as a volunteer. And worked on a lot of community development interventions for disadvantaged people through the support of the Save the Children US agency, which encouraged me to join the further study of degree I joined my bachelor's degree at Lahan Campus in political science and psychology subject in 1992. I passed 2 years course for a bachelor's degree at Tribhuvan University (TU) Nepal.
I had to work full-time in the school and out time in social service activities and participate sometimes in different training /orientation/workshops about how to develop the status to disadvantage community people. After that, I highly support my followers in the organization (BIDC) by launching community people ownership projects.
I resigned from my permanent teacher government job and joined a social service job in the BIDC organization as a project coordinator. I was involved 100% time in social service interventions for disadvantaged communities with life-changing and lifesaving codes of conduct.
I had been closely coordinating with NGOs/INGOs, UN agencies, Government offices, and stakeholders. As a result, I had populated with many development agencies and I was very happy with sharing my mother.
During this period I passed a Master’s degree in political science in 2003. Continue to work for the rights of children, women, Dalits as well as other disadvantaged people. I received many types of Training for Trainers (TOT) and conducted a lot of training for different level participants.
Recognition and human rights/social development intervention involvement:
Like a good performance Save the Children US gave a scholarship for MRDM in Thailand. But bad luck at that time Nepal was affected by the Moist conflict and NGOs targeted to close these completely. I was involved in counseling of moist groups. That’s why I have postponed the MRDM study in Thailand.
I joined a Master’s degree in sociology subject from TU and passed in 2007. I have been involved in Save the Children in the US for support of the Koshi River Floods event in 2008 in Nepal. India which was the biggest human displacement event and nearly about 65,000 people were affected directly or indirectly.
Then I start to work DFID Women Empowerment periodic project in Janakpur, working in Dhanusha, Mahottari, Sarlahi, Rautahat, Bara, and Parsa districts of Nepal.
Likewise, I worked on the DIPECHO project in collaboration with Red Cross in Siraha. When people are affected by the fire-burning events in Aurahi and other VDCs. That awareness of a natural disaster like flood, fire, epidemic diseases, etc.
I had involved in the business in Feb 2014 in Biratnagar of Nepal for taking care of my mother but in bad luck, she was seriously sick in Aug 2014 and was admitted to hospital after 7 days she died in the hospital bed. I provoked her face every day and night, especially at sleep and wake-up time.
Exposure and Relaxation:
Now I have 4 children all is well they are young and involved in their life setting for the future. My elder girl is permanently settled in the USA. I have a tourist VISA. I came to the USA in 2017. I return back to Nepal and again came in 2018 to New York. It is filing for a green card and received too.
At a glance, I summarize my life history. Where I love my mother since I opened my eyes. She was the greatest blessing that God has given to me. That's why "My mother was my God" proved that her blessing is supporting to grow up my all family members.
!! Thank you !!!
